Ed is Chief Estimator and Senior Project Manager at Walsh Construction Co. where he manages estimators and provides senior project management services. In 1995, after completing graduate school and working in various engineering-related fields while on active duty in the Navy, Ed joined Walsh as a laborer. After becoming an assistant superintendent on a large concrete job – Ed progressed from superintendent to project manager and finally to chief estimator. Since 2006, he has been key in the estimating, system analysis, and value engineering of all Walsh projects in Oregon. Ed works with project teams on all stages of a project’s preparation and implementation of all estimating department standards and procedures. He has worked with various green building rating systems such as Living Building, LEED and Earth Advantage and project sizes ranging from small tenant improvements to large-scale projects with private, public and P3 funding.
