Sue Klawans

Sue has over 35 years of experience as a general contractor, construction manager at risk, owner’s program manager, senior executive, and Lean strategist. As a contractor and owner’s program manager, Sue managed a portfolio and teams to deliver successful projects in various markets including corporate offices, higher education, and healthcare, while managing all aspects of planning, design, and construction. As an executive and consultant, Sue has created and implemented Lean development programs and provided strategic leadership in process improvement, operational excellence, quality, knowledge sharing, innovation-into-practice, client satisfaction, business intelligence, and operational playbooks. Sue has taken on roles in multiple industry organizations, including being a founding member and past chair of the Off-Site Construction Council of the National Institute of Building Sciences; Associated General Contractors of America (AGC); Construction Quality Executives Council; and Construction Owners Association of America’s Owner Training Institute.
